When and how will I get my API key?
You’ll receive your API key through email shortly after signing up. We will send them out nearly immediately. Please check your spam folder if you don’t receive the API key.
For how long will I be able to use the API for free?
We will keep the open beta free to use until March 2024. We’ll introduce paid plans later in 2024 and guide you through the transition. Signing up now doesn’t come with any commitment later on.
How much will the API cost when it’s out of beta?
We’re finalizing the details of our pricing. However, we aim for usage-based pricing with no minimum number of API calls. You’ll only pay for what you use.
How long do you keep the uploaded documents?
We keep the uploaded and processed files for one day and then delete them.
Does the free beta have any limitations?
Yes, each API key is limited to 5000 API requests per month and 10 requests per second. If you exceed the number of requests or want limits increased, contact us at pdftools-api[at]pdf-tools.com.
How are you guaranteeing the privacy of the files you are processing?
Our services are only accessible over secure HTTPS connections, ensuring your files are safe during transit to and from our servers. When we store provided files for processing, no one can access them without your prior approval. We only access these files if you report an error that needs to be tested and verified. Files are automatically deleted 24 hours after you upload them. All of the access to the storage services is logged and audited. This approach ensures the privacy and security of your files and data in transit and while at rest.
