Information bar
Learn how to use and configure text search and display various types of annotations. The information bar comprises of Text search and toggle to display or hide an Information pane.
Text search
Search for the text in the document by clicking on the search button that opens a text search area. Text search is incremental: As soon as you enter the text into the search field, the first search result hit is highlighted.
Navigate the search results using the ↵ Enter key.
Configure the search by clicking the wrench icon using the:
- Case sensitive: Enable case sensitive search.
- Wrap search: Enable whether the search hits wraps from the end of the document to the beginning.
Information pane
The information pane's visibility is toggled by clicking on the information pane button. When displayed, this bar includes the following tabs:
- Thumbnails: When you activate Thumbnails tab, thumbnails of the document pages are displayed in the information pane. Click a thumbnail to navigate to the respective page.
- Outline: When you activate the Outline tab, the document outline is displayed in the information pane as a tree of potentially expandable outline items, also called bookmarks. Clicking the outline item navigates to the destination associated with this item. Depending on the type of destination, this changes the active page and also the zoom factor. Note that not all documents have an outline.
- Annotations: When activating the Annotations tab, an overview of the document's annotations is displayed in the information pane. In this overview, every annotation consists of the following:
- Icon: Equivalent to the icons shown in the Annotation bar, additionally colored by the annotations main color.
- Author: Only displayed if set for this annotation.
- Date and time: Indicates the time when the annotation was created.
- Subject: Only displayed if set for this annotation.
- Text: This is the text associated with the annotation.
