PDF conversion of OpenDocument Format depends on the rendering in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. In particular, the conversion can result in visual differences in tables and tabs. The visual differences caused by the difference in rendering of shapes are usually not acceptable.
HTML documents need to be self-contained (layout information and images are either inline or available on the web) and suited for portrait page layout. JavaScript content is disabled during processing.
Make the layout information and images defined as links in the XML files available on the web to incorporate them into the TIFF output.
The conversion of most file formats is enabled by default in the profile's Convert Mode Configuration for Child Documents (Attachments).
Features and limitations
Compared to the other workflows, this workflow has the following features and limitations:
Convert to TIFF
Multi or single-page conversion
TIFF format supports multiple pages in one file. You can configure the multipage output for each individual input document using the MULTIPAGE
option. When you disable the multipage option, the output is one file for each page of the input document.
Compression
The TIFF workflow supports multiple different compression types. You can set the compression type of and quality depending on the input image type.
Collect mode configuration
The TIFF standard does not allow embedded files. Therefore, Merge is the only collect mode configuration available.
Job and document options for the TIFF workflow
Pass job and document-specific values for processing documents using the Archive TIFF workflow. For more information, review Configure job and document options.
Job options
Job options apply to all documents processed in the same job. Use the default profile settings for any subsequent jobs processed with the workflow profile.
Type | Option | Description |
---|---|---|
Multi or single page output | MULTIPAGE | Turn on or off multipage output. If true , documents included in the job are outputted as a single file with multiple pages. If false , documents included in the job are outputted as single-page files. |
Compression | QUALITY | The compression quality is applied for each of the compression types. |
Document options
Document options apply only to a specific input. It allows you to determine specific properties based on an individual document, rather than as a global setting (determined by the job or the profile). Use the default profile settings for any subsequent jobs processed with the workflow profile.
Type | Option | Description |
---|---|---|
Document property | DOC.PASSWORD | Set the password for the document. |
